About
Wall of Shame
At Ronin Combat Strategies, we believe in reinforcing lessons through consequence.
A "dead man's gun" occurs when a shooter steps up to the line to begin a drill with any weapon and the hammer falls on an empty chamber when the weapon was not intentionally set up in this condition at the specific request of the instructors. In other words, the shooter brought a weapon that was not ready to fire to a gunfight, and as a result he is a dead man.
In an effort to drive this point home in the absence of physical training punishment, we will announce the consequences for this offense during the morning brief for each course. Any shooter who commits this offense during a training session will have his name and the number of occurrences listed on this page, where it shall remain until we have received the required remittance in accordance with said offense(s). Of course, no Ronin Combat Strategies training participant is required to take part in this lesson reinforcement, however all "dead man's gun" offenders' namesakes shall remain listed here until payment is satisified.
Cheers!

“I am living proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks. As a former 18 year veteran Team Leader/Operator of a major full time SWAT Team, I can attest to the skill sets that are taught in the Ronin Combat Strategies Tactical Pistol/Rifle course that I recently attended. The skills that are honed through repetition are real world friendly and practical, and not some new gimmick. If you are ever in a gun fight, the skill sets taught will keep you alive. Lets be honest, the reason for training is for survival. I have a personal and working relationship with the instructors of Ronin Combat Strategies. These guys are top of the food chain because for them it is a way of life and not a job. As you can tell I am a little bias towards the military/police side of the house, but I believe this course also offers a lot for the civilian gun enthusiast or weekend warrior as well. Remember SHOOT, MOVE, COMMUNICATE, and BE SAFE!"
