2 Days (Focus on ranging targets, field techniques, and extended ranges)

Prerequisites: None (A basic understanding of the fundamentals of marksmanship would be very helpful.)

Course Description:
This course is for the Law Enforcement Sniper, Competition Shooter, or Long Range Hunter wanting to learn to place precision shots on point targets out to the maximum effective range of their rifle. This course will give the student the knowledge and skills to successfully engage targets from various shooting positions. At the end of the course, students will be able to hit a 12” steel plate out to a distance of 600 yards given the capability of their rifle.

• bolt action or semi-auto rifle capable of 1 MOA (or better) accuracy to 600 yards
• quality scope capable of repeatable windage/elevation adjustments
• rifle sling (capable of hasty/loop configuration)
• bipod (recommended) or stable rest for prone shooting position (backpack)

• spotting scope (recommended)
• method of carrying equipment around on the range in a hands free mode (pack)
• ear/eye protection
